Deb Page, CPT, President of the Institute for Performance Improvement
ISPI Atlanta Chapter Seminar: December 16, 2020, 12:00 – 1:00 pm
Free for ISPI Atlanta members and non-members this month!
The Institute for Performance Improvement, in collaboration with ISPI, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the ISPI Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) designation by introducing a new designation: The Certified Performance Improvement Facilitator™ (CPIF).
How are these two designations different? While CPT professionals use the ten ISPI standards to demonstrate what they did to meet organizational goals, the new CPIF™ professionals will demonstrate how they facilitate collaborative efforts to achieve improvement or innovation. The new designation also provides proof of proficiency in skills employers identify as high-value, in-demand and hard-to-find, such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and other interpersonal and consultative skills.
PREPARE FOR A NEW JOB OR EXPAND YOUR EXISTING ONE
The Certified Performance Improvement Facilitator may work in and across a broad range of sectors and roles. These professionals guide collaborative efforts to solve problems and improve performance using a set of proven performance standards. These people may serve in project management, product development, go-to-market strategies, work force development and other efforts requiring collaboration, systemic approaches, and continuous improvement.
The CPIF™ designation is earned by completing a rigorous virtual, synchronous training program with asynchronous coaching in which the participants complete a real-world performance improvement facilitation project. The training and resulting certification are ideal for those who wish to differentiate their proficiency inside their organizations or to potential employers, or provide clients proof of their ability to guide collaborative improvement.
Deb Page, CPT, President of the Institute for Performance Improvement (www.TIFPIedu.org), will provide an overview of the standards, the training program and opportunities to apply these skills to evolving challenges in workforce development and performance. Deb is a former K-12 high school teacher, making her bilingual in industry and education. She spent over 20 years in corporate training and development and performance improvement before returning to education in 2001 to lead the start-up of a state leadership institute for school improvement in her home state of Georgia. In 2012 she founded The Institute for Performance Improvement, which trains and certifies school improvement facilitators, including school and district leaders, academic coaches and state and regional education agency staff. The Institute, in collaboration with the International Society for Performance Improvement, also trains and certifies Performance Improvement Facilitators from across all sectors to neutrally guide collaborative coalitions for performance improvement and innovation. She is the co-author of the School Improvement Specialist Field Guide from Corwin Press and regularly contributes to publications concerning performance improvement. Her passion project is supporting the development of collaborative coalitions that bring together K-12 education, industry, government and other stakeholders to ensure all students have the competencies and experiences to succeed in learning, career and life.
